"Los aristogatos" (1970)
The first animation released in this era was the last to be approved by Walt Disney. It tells the story of cats who live in an aristocratic house in Paris. The cats are then kidnapped and thrown into the countryside by a jealous butler after the cats are awarded a fortune in their owner's will.
The cats meet colorful characters including a flirtatious cat, two silly dogs, and a wonderful band. There's a lot of physical comedy and funny scenes, especially with the band. It's also worth noting that there's a brief but scary stereotype of a band member posing as Chinese, so there's a Disney+ warning. Regardless, it's an interesting movie, especially for those interested in the Bronze Age.
'Bed knobs and broomstick' (1971)
Three children live with Miss Price, a practicing witch (Angela Lansbury) during world war II. They travel on a magical bed to discover a spell that can bring inanimate objects to life with the help of the witch's headmaster, Emelius (david tomilson). Meanwhile, the Nazis invade England and only magic can save the country.
doorknobs and broomsticksis comparable toMary Poppinsin mixing live action and animated worlds. While the animated segment is only a small part of the movie, it's still a very funny sequence with cartoon animals playing soccer. At the same time, Emelius is trampled on in a cartoonish way. The songs aren't the best known in Disney movie history, but it sure is an entertaining show.
Robin Hood (1973)
Robin Hood is one of the funniest and most action-packed Disney animated movies that offers a highly entertaining retelling of the Robin Hood story using Disney cartoon characters. It also has someNice songsplayed by the roosterRoger Mueller.
The character designs look familiar, many seem to have been reused.the artist cats. Also, Little John looks a lot like Baloo.the jungle book. Intentional or not, it feels like a cast of all-star Disney characters playing roles, just like they do with the Muppets. The Muppets Christmas Carolytreasure Island.
Pete's Dragon (1977)
Pete is an orphan who comes to Passamaquoddy with his dragon, Elliot, after running away from cruel farmers. Pete and Elliot wreak havoc on the town and hide in a cave under a lighthouse, where he is greeted by a kind lady (helen denial) and his father (mike rooney)
This is another classic live-action/animation hybrid packed with great songs and performances. Don Bluth was the animation director for this movie and he does a great job animating the dragon perfectly with the actors. It also includes many classic and hilarious songs like "I Saw a Dragon", "Passamashloddy" and "Brazzle Dazzle Day".
"The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" (1977)
This animated film is a collection of three animated short films produced between 1966 and 1974. These short films flow seamlessly into each other and form the quintessentialWinnie PuuhMovie. based onAA milneBooks, this movie features the cartoon adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Roo, and Eeyore.
The voice acting is iconic and the animated versions of Winnie the Pooh are deeply embedded in Disney culture. The movie is great too, with iconic moments like Winnie using a balloon to get honey and Tigger explaining the Heffalumps and Woozles.
"The Black Hole" (1979)
Often described as "20,000 Leagues Under the Seain Space", is Disney's response to the success ofstar wara few years before. It tells the story of a doctor aboard a space station whose scientific goal is to penetrate through a black hole. A team, including a droid that is the movie version of R2-D2 and C3-PO, comes aboard the station and discovers the Doctor's sinister motives.
This was Disney's first PG-rated movie and contains some terrifying scenes, particularly those involving the evil robot Maximillian. While it also has that serial homage to outer space, it's also darker, trying to ground itself in science rather than space fantasy.star war, make aUnderrated 70s Sci-Fi Movie.
"The Fox and the Hound" (1981)
This coming-of-age story is about an adopted fox and a hunting dog who become best friends as children. As they grow older, they go their separate ways and end up as adversaries, but part of their friendship still remains.
Much happens withBambiyThe Lady and the TrampThis film deals with dark themes for a children's animated film. The voice work of Mickey Rooney (Tod the Fox) andcourses russell(Cooper the Hound) is excellent, and despite the visceral reality of the hunt presented in the film, it also shows the triumph of kindness and friendship.
TRON (1982)

This is perhaps the most underrated Disney animated movie of all time. Released towards the end of the Bronze/Dark era, this cleverly presents a world of mouse versions of the human Sherlock Holmes characters. The dark streets of late 19th century London provide an inspired backdrop and even feature an amazing CG sequence showing the clockwork during the film's climax.
